Great Building, Negligent landlord and management

Pros:
We love our friends and neighbors and the apartments are great, but our building was sold 3 years ago and it’s been a nightmare since.
Cons:
Recently we had a carbon monoxide leak from our stove. Our carbon monoxide detector went off but when we contacted management they refused to send someone out and made no recommendations. They were just going to let the alarm go off all night and not check for a leak. National Grid came the next day, tested the oven, confirmed the leak and disconnected the stove - I had to call because I had a headache and was nauseated. National Grid was shocked management hadn’t sent anyone when we reported the alarm. The landlord did not replace the stove for 6 days, in violation of the HPD complaint, and when they finally had a stove delivered it was the most rudimentary stove I have seen in my life. I’m surprised it doesn’t run off wood. The building manager makes life especially difficult. People in this building have gone weeks without heat in winter or air in the summer. They keep decorating the building but the hallways aren’t cleaned properly and they leave the trash covering the sidewalk. They rented out the basement illegally and were told to correct by DOB, which they haven’t, meaning anyone with a credit card can sign up for Local Locker and access our entire building, not to mention the commercial businesses utilizing the building which is strictly prohibited per our COO. They are determined to get out rent stabilized tenants by making everything extremely difficult. These are only a few examples.
Advice to owner:
According to the law, the stove replacement cannot be such a significant downgrade

Pros:
Apartments had high ceilings, large windows, and smart storage. Building materials were high-grade. Kitchen was roomy. Bike room at no charge. Parking available. Pet friendly.
Cons:
Off-site sup results in longer wait than if live-in. The entry and roof were a bit shabby. Most of rooftop blocked off yet rarely used. The part open to tenants was pretty small.
Advice to owner:
Add a street number to the building.
