Horrible Management but Good Bones
Former Tenant
Pros:
Hardwood floors, great location, decent value, rent controlled, friendly neighbors
Cons:
Horrible horrible horrible management, no elevator, no responsiveness or responsibility taken by the ownership whatsoever. Dirty halls, consistent package theft, outdated intercom system. Washer dryer room disgusting and hasn’t works for months.
Advice to owner:
Have some sort of communication system with your tenants!

Horrible upkeep
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are welcoming ,
Cons:
Super isn’t reliable , roaches and mice in hallways and around garbage in front of building.
Buildings Laundry matt is out of service for almost a year .
Advice to owner:
Fix apartments for the elderly . Update the bathrooms. Having a cast iron tub with legs , that needs yearly maintained due to peeling off and rust is disgusting.

Unresponsive management. Roaches & flooding
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is good
Cons:
Major pest problems - Roaches and rats are present in and outside of the building. The ceiling in the laundry room has been collapsing slowly over last 2 years. Our apartment started flooding the week before isaias. When I reached out to management, we received no reply. The problem is getting worse and no corrective action has been taken a week later. No respect for tenants. Our super is a very nice guy but he cannot do major property fixes. Our front door is constantly broken and is a security problem. We have consistently paid rent, without issue or complaint, throughout the pandemic despite both tenants being furloughed. We received zero updates from management during this time and no safety measures were implemented. They do not care about tenants at all
Advice to owner:
Do your job.
