A cockroach infested hell hole!

Neighborhood is quaint

Moved into a subleased studio upon arriving and letting the apartment breathe for a few days from previous tenant I came to find the walls were moving with cockroaches. The fridge was filled with cockroaches and all the crevices of the cupboards, bathroom and even eggs in the smoke detector. Was robbed of $3k+ from the tenant who happened to be illegally subletting it and the real estate agent who was leasing to her were very little use. If you live in that building please get an exterminator i paid out of pocket stupidly to never stay another night. He advised it was one of the most advanced cases and at that point was absolutely in other apartments. I called and reported the building for sanitary and pest concerns but there was never a follow up.
Advice to owner:
Make sure the tenants are not illegally subletting for profit and that it’s not a cockroach infested pit.
