High rent, low expectations
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to Bedford Avenue, Mccarren park, Greenpoint, subway stations, BQE to escape the city. Small building so not terrible walk up. Pets are allowed. Mostly friendly neighbors in the building. Quiet street (outside of the fire department but you get used to it quick)
Cons:
Property manager is quick to gaslight for any issues you may bring up. Had to email about an ongoing 3 times in an long period before it was properly looked at and fixed. Raised rent in a pandemic when no one else was. Other tenants definitely Airbnb their apartment...issues with Airbnb guests being extremely loud at night or rude to actual tenants when it came to using laundry machines. Bedrooms have light switches but no ceiling lights to turn on ??
Advice to owner:
Ask the property manager to be kinder to tenants. Maintenance people are very kind.
