Horrible Maintence, High Utilities & Noisy
Pros
The building is conveniently located next to restaurants, stores and the L a couple blocks away. The hallways are clean as someone comes to sweep / mop 1-2x a week.
Cons
You will pay $400-$500 in winter surge for heat/gas (national grid) and electric (con edison) and the landlord will simply say “that’s NY”. All the neighbors discussed and agree it’s unreasonable but can’t sort why prices are so high. Likely due to a broken boiler that is never properly addressed. Also the maintence is a shoddy job and the guy they hire is extremely flakey. There is no laundry in building
Advice to the owners
Do better to resolve tenant utility issues and pay for higher quality maintence instead of cutting corners, it’s costing you more in the long run.
