It was perfect…. Landlord made us leave to charge $1000 more in monthly rent
Pros
- Spacious rooms - good light throughout apartment - nice (though small) kitchen - fun rooftop access - responsive landlord, attentive to repair needs - electric included
Cons
- when there was a water leak, they replaced the once aesthetically nice shower with an eyesore cheap readymade shower - little if any heat in the winter - interior stairs felt like they were falling apart - one bedroom had no window to the outside - floors were dirty
Advice to the owners
Register the apartment listings with the city. Remember it’s better to keep reliable tenants than chase after unreasonably high rent
Overall really great spot, with a few small downsides
Pros
Amazing backyard if you're on the first two floors. Very personable and responsive landlord. Excellent location. Solid soundproofing between units and ever between bedrooms.
Cons
Very close to the BQE, as well as an exit-ramp and on-ramp, and a big intersection, AND a gas station, so the air quality is not great. Be aware if you are sensitive!
Advice to the owners
Clean the stairwell a bit more often...
