It could be worse!

Pros

Relatively affordable, landlord leaves us alone and fixes things sometimes. Love the neighborhood.

Cons

Pests, too hot in winter, no window in the kitchen/living room area. Sharing 1 bathroom with 4 people. 1 tiny closet for all of us.

Advice to the owners

Lower the rent. Keep it cleaner to prevent roaches.

Management barely addressed the frequent heat/hot water issues and the public areas were often dirty for weeks and weeks. They rarely communicated about any issues, and lied to us about why something had suddenly stopped working (eg: the gas was turned off for a week because they did illegal repairs, but they blamed the city and national grid for turning it off). Don't live here!!!
