Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 194 Scholes Street in Brooklyn reveal seriously concerning management and maintenance issues. While the neighborhood and neighbors are often praised, renters consistently report unresponsiveness from ownership, persistent mold and flooding problems, poor building construction, and lack of essential services like heating and proper pest control. Garbage management is also criticized, with rodent presence noted. Some tenants mention soundproofing issues and interrupted repairs, leading to health risks. Although a few note the building's location and neighbors positively, the overwhelming consensus warns against renting here due to neglectful management and unsafe, unsanitary living conditions.

DO NOT RENT
Former Tenant
Pros:
I loved the location
Cons:
Management does not respond in time, left us without hear or AC months at a time, missing some BIG advertised features I.e central air/HVAC, garbage outside with rats and built up rat poop
Advice to owner:
When I care about something I take care of it. If you don’t care about your own property then pass it on to someone who will.

UNRESPONSIVE MANAGEMENT — DO NOT COME
Former Tenant
Pros:
- newish - clean
Cons:
- tiny - UNRESPONSIVE MANAGEMENT. - NEVER RESPONDS TO EMAILS, you need to spam call until they answer - NOT sound proof, can hear neighbors conversation - we had to call them because there was MOLD on our ceiling, then they carved out the ceiling and put a trash bag over it which bursted and spilled dirty water all over. we had to persistently call them to fix it, even calling 311 once
Advice to owner:
don’t manage buildings and endanger your residents
