Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
255 Mc Kibbin Street offers spacious, well-lit loft apartments with appealing Brooklyn character, elevator access, laundry facilities, and responsive management praised for prompt issue resolution. The building is clean with maintained common areas and a friendly neighborly vibe in many units. However, persistent pest problems such as cockroaches and occasional bedbugs pose challenges despite regular extermination efforts. Noise levels vary widely due to thin walls, and some tenants report disruptive parties and noisy neighbors. Lack of roof access, slow elevators, and limited outdoor space are common drawbacks. The neighborhood is trendy yet occasionally described as gritty, appealing to renters valuing location and loft-style living but seeking improvements in pest control and noise management.

Great building and management!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management and super are on top of it and very responsive. Units are big and beautiful. Building is kept very clean. I'm very grateful for how responsible the building managers were during my entire lease :)
Cons:
Unfortunately despite monthly exterminator visits to each unit, and two fumigations of our unit upon request, there are still cockroaches. They fall from the vents and come up from the drains even with drain covers. The building itself is kept very clean and the cleaning lady comes by every morning to mop the common halls so I'm not sure they can do any more for their tenants. Just an unfortunate part of living in NYC I suppose.
