Constant smell of weed, noisy street and neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the action in Bushwick
Cons:
-Roaches -Dirty water from faucet -My apartment had the direct fumes of weed coming from the basement. Literally at the level of extreme hotboxing. -My apartment was super close to boiler and needed AC in winter

Good location | Very Bad Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is situated nicely near the L train. Very good location. One block away from train and near the action of Bushwick.
Cons:
Building is poorly maintained. Lots of pests. Rodents, cockroaches, and other bugs. Very cheap finishes. Landlord, Henry, withholds security deposits on most of his tenants for no reason. He tries to get away with it. Henry is also a 'slumlord' in other ways. He does not bother to repair or maintain this property or his other properties. Only in it for the money, but in the cheapest way possible.
Advice to owner:
You should probably get into a different business unless you are willing to maintain your properties, respond to tenant requests, and stop withholding security deposits for no reason.

I couldn’t leave sooner
Former Tenant
Pros:
Had some friendly neighbors and lived nearby my friends
Cons:
The management of this building is the worst with responsive-ness. Building noise was pretty loud and it was an incredibly dirty building. We also had bed bugs within a few months of moving in.
Advice to owner:
Have someone clean more often. I promise it will reduce the amount of roaches and other problems. Please fix the boiler. Last winter we had heat some mornings and other mornings not. It was always “something is wrong with the boiler”. Alright, then fix it
