High noise level for street facing rooms
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean building, responsive landlord, friendly neighbors, renovated appliances, nice floor.
Video recording hallways.
Center to everything around in Bushwick, very convenient.
24/7 grocery store in two blocks.
Pet friendly
Rooftop access though you’re not supposed to be there
Big bedrooms
Cons:
1. If your room faces the street then good luck because the noise from trucks, cars with loud music, people playing loud music in their speakers hanging around the building, and people yelling on the street in the summer, does not stop. I was woken up numerous times at night. But if your room faces the back then you’re good.
2. Uses central AC and heat. Hot water, stove, everything is powered by electricity as well. So the electricity bill is higher
3. There is a weird super that guards the door 6 days a week. He gives weird comments sometimes. And there are always suspicious people hanging around the building, playing music, sitting on the doorstep. But So far they have been harmless.
Advice to owner:
Change to a video buzzer so people can’t get in and steal packages
