Review Summary for 212 Starr Street
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 212 Starr Street in Brooklyn reveal a mixed living experience. Tenants appreciate the spacious units, backyard, and updated appliances with good water pressure and heating. The building benefits from responsive management at times and good garbage management in some cases. However, critical issues include inconsistent cleanliness, mold and pest problems, flooding, and small bedrooms with questionable legality. Noise can be an issue due to nearby bars, and some renters report unfriendly neighbors and unprofessional landlord behavior. Rent increases during the pandemic have been criticized. While some recommend the building for its value and location, concerns about maintenance and landlord ethics persist.

Scammy Rude Landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
The space itself is lovely with a nice backyard and updated appliances.
Cons:
However, the bedrooms are small, and include an ILLEGAL fourth bedroom with no window. They way overcharge, and raised the rent at the height of the pandemic in 2020.
