Terrible and frustrating
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location and that’s it
Cons:
Constantly dealing with mice, leaks, cracks, mold, and minimal if any response from maintenance or management. We had bed bugs and ants. There’s always trash left on the landing from neighbors. The appliances are old and are barely functional.
Advice to owner:
Do better

completely disgusting here
Former Tenant
Pros:
amazing location. that’s how you get sucked in
Cons:
HORRIBLE pest problems. we’ve had invasive mice the entire time we’ve lived here. we’ve also seen roaches and have heard other tenants have had bed bugs. it feels and looks dirty, drains are getting clogged all the time. i would never ever do this again
Advice to owner:
fix literally everything

mice mice mice!!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
great location, great neighbors, our apt was renovated before we moved in, pretty spacious
Cons:
MICE!!! we had mice the whole time we lived there practically, no matter what we did / who we called, our flooring/under sink/etc was not finished or sealed properly so the mice were able to come right in! management did little other than send person after person in that did next to nothing to actually solve the problem. just temporary fixes. also the hot water pipes were super loud in the winter months
Advice to owner:
invest in solving the root cause of the mouse problem and the apartments would be pretty great!

House of Horrors
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood feels like a community and it’s close to amazing restaurants, although it is on the peak of extreme gentrification.
Cons:
Drama lives here! The tenant in 2L is completely unhinged! The building drama is centered around this tenant and his inability to control his emotions, music volume and stench. I’ve never experience anything like this in my life. He has several cases with previous tenants that he’s ran out of the building and the building management does little to resolve issues. The police are called regularly and there is always yelling and screaming in the building. The icing on the cake is the roof is in horrible condition so water leaks in the hallway and the top floor units. Update: the tenant moved out but issues with pests persist. I’ve seen a mouse literally crawl under the front door into the unit next to us. Management sends exterminators that do absolutely nothing. The entire building is infested with bugs and rodents. Several tenants have had bed bugs as well. Issue never get resolved and when people are sent to make improvements, they do nothing. It’s all a cover so that it appears as if management is listening to the tenants needs. The city needs to come and do something because the conditions are hazardous.
Advice to owner:
Take your tenants needs seriously, be more responsive and compassionate to people’s livelihoods. Maintain the cleanliness and structure of the building— its falling apart.

Perfect for gentrifiers looking to “slum it”
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of rats in the neighborhood. They were infesting the entire basement but some jerk who moved in made the management clean it up. Now it smells good. Lame
Cons:
Abusive, neglectful management company (Fulltime Management). Persistently recurring bedbug infestations (likely from the “slumming” gentrifiers). Heat regularly fails. Radiators all “water hammer” (banging) extremely loudly. Hot water is illegally hot. Leaks and mold in all the bathrooms. Entrance door is broken, roof door is broken, there’s little to no security. Exposed steam pipes hot enough to cause third degree burns throughout apartments. Electrical wiring is old and unsafe, often flickers, bills unrealistically high.
Advice to owner:
