2-family House in Bushwick

Pros

Close to JMZ, 15-min walk to Morgan L. Near so much that Bushwick has to offer. Big Old House with high ceilings and large rooms for New York.

Cons

The Big Old House is also over 100 years old and the owners (badly) fixe it themselves. The rent is a bit lower than market rate but the house is falling apart. Any renovations or fixes are poorly done Home Depot jobs. The owners will also keep a large portion of the security deposit for "fixes". The security deposit portion of the lease, as well as other portions, do not align with New York State tenant laws. Additionally, the house is on a double lot with a driveway. The landlords rent parking space to neighbors to park on the lot.
