Illegal conversion- Duplex apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
LOVED our long term neighbors, and the outdoor backyard space was truly appreciated.
Cons:
The landlords. We were leased the 1st floor/cellar (finished “basement”) which is an illegal conversion. This cellar floods with sewage every year. Stay away from the bottom floor unit if it is being leased as a duplex, or be prepared for a literal sh*tstorm in your unit at some point.
Advice to owner:
Stop putting people’s lives in jeopardy. Leasing the cellar as a finished basement is not only illegal, it is morally repugnant.
