washer dryer units in the basement. alex (the guy who cleans the building and is occasionally the handyman) ROCKS and keeps the building and outside clean. the building is a block away from the L stop which is very convenient. you're near so many places to eat/shop on knickerbocker or wyckoff.
Cons:
the ac's were always leaking. there was a terrible mold problem in all the rooms, no matter how much we cleaned the windows they would always grow black mold. washer and dryer only takes quarters which is such a nuisance. there's an older lady that lives on the first floor (rent controlled room so she will always be there) is extremely quick to complain about every little thing. first time we moved in, she complained immediately that we weren't neatly taping up every single box we threw out. if anyone in the building has a barking dog, YOU WILL HEAR IT. in our apartment on the third floor, we could hear if people were yelling from the first floor in their apartments. the hardwood floors are so hard to clean and no matter how many times we mopped, the floor would still turn our socks black. if anyone smoked on the roof, the smell would come in through the vents on third floor. the freezer would sometimes leak. no windows in the bathroom and the vent wasn't strong enough so the walls would be soaked after a shower. bathroom got water damage on the ceiling and started leaking.

Pros:
The building is cleaned regularly, packages never get stolen, access to roof, laundry in basement.
