Was refused security deposit because of bedbugs

Pros:
Friendly neighbors, close to laundromat and good restaurants, good tree-lined block.
Cons:
Title says it all. Bedbugs are legally a landlord’s responsibility but she tried to pin it on us (and alternately our neighbors). We intend to take her to small claims court when the pandemic is over. Also the buzzer never worked in the 2 years we lived there.
Advice to owner:
Don’t be a bad landlord

lots of space, quiet yard-facing bedroom, affordable, great sunlight
Cons:
things don't really get fixed properly, only one outlet in every room, heat issues
