Beware of owner
Former Tenant
Pros:
It was close to the train.
Cons:
Owner. Came knocking on our door one night years ago for the rent. My mother was behind just one month, my 6 year brother was sleeping. It was about 10pm. It was so embarrassing. Her screaming and knocking to give the rent and proceeded to call us pigs because we put out a bag of garbage in a corner so we could take down the next morning. My mother was so upset. I was upset for her. Other con nothing to do with above is rodents. Basically when we were living there in the winter we would have mice then summer they would go away and we would have roaches again. It was crazy and landlady son would never do anything about it. As he would take care of things. Third con, anything that could break or not work he would blame it on us: example our stove— we had been there 14 years some things are bound to just not function after a little. Fourth con — the sons gf. She watches things for no reason like I’m everybody’s business. Super crazy. And when we were moving out they proceeded to enter our apartment and they took one of my grandmothers plants that had been with us — fyi she loved them because they had belonged to my grandfather. So it was sentimental. All in all they were just waiting for us to move out so they could probably charge 3x what we were paying since we were there for so long. Don’t bother. They didn’t give us anything to fix the windows either in the master bedroom it was literally missing half the window. So that room was extra freezing. I remember some years my siblings and I and my mom would sleep all together in the living room because it was warmer. And no one is exactly innocent - we fell on hard times and could not pay the rent that month and we ended not paying. But all this to lead to us moving and it could have been handled a lot differently. Like I wish it had just gone better. So don’t do it. Unless you will never fall on hard times. Or just have lots of savings and a very good income because one slip and they could possibly take you to court.

No advice. Start having compassion , Remember Things you said and realize you have a responsibility.
