Building is a health hazard
Pros
None. absolutely none.
Cons
The landlord does not respond to requests for maintenance. we have had multiple floods with sewage backup, there was stagnant dookie water in the communal laundry room basement for days- the whole building has been uninhabitable multiple times because of the gas coming from the sewage water. management is incredible at the “we took care of it”- aka they’ve hired cleaning people that were unqualified and unequipped to clean up the flood and hire painters to paint over the lack mold that’s embedded in the drywall. they raise the rent by $600 when your lease is up in order to keep a high turnover rate of tenants. steer clear of this building
Advice to the owners
DO BETTER
Below the Bare Minimum
Pros
The neighborhood, central heating and air, pet policy.
Cons
You have to beg management to do the bare minimum. They have jeopardized the health and safety of their tenants in favor of pinching pennies, definition of the landlord special.
Advice to the owners
Listen to your tenants, take care of the building or it will get condemned.
