Looks nice, but thin walls and lots of flaws
Pros
The street is pretty quiet for Bushwick standards. There are all new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Can control your own heat/AC. Everything is electric (heat, stove, hot water) so only have to pay electricity bill, but it can get costly during the summer and winter. Units are pretty spacious. BIG windows and lots of natural light. Front of building is facing southeast, so decent sunlight through the morning. Washer and dryer in building (though there's only 1 of each for the entire building, and the washer can't really fit a queen size comforter without stuffing it in). Pest control comes every couple of weeks to inspect for both bugs. Neighbors are nice enough. There are 6 units total.
Cons
The entire building has been renovated, but the renovations were poorly and hastily done. The walls are paper thin in this building. You can hear when anyone enters or exits the building, and any tenants even tiptoeing above you. Management is not very attentive or helpful unless it has to do with something that could get 311 called on them. Lots of mosquitos in the front during the warm months. Same with occasional roaches, during the summer into fall. The parcel box out front has been out of service forever and the property manager has taken no action to fix it, so if you're not home to get your packages, they often get stolen.
Advice to the owners
Be more attentive and proactive in keeping the property clean. And please do something about the packages always getting stolen.
