Good Location and Layout, but Ongoing Management and Maintenance Concerns
Pros
• Convenient location near a reliable L train stop • Street parking was generally easy to find • Well-stocked supermarket within walking distance • Apartment had a functional and comfortable layout
Cons
• There were unprofessional interactions with the superintendent at various points during my tenancy • The superintendent was not consistently on the property • Ongoing disturbances from a neighbor, including frequent loud arguments • Shared common areas were often used in ways that felt intrusive and uncomfortable • The shower appeared to be improperly installed, with fixtures that could become dangerously hot • Maintenance issues were often handled informally and not resolved properly (for example, plumbing repairs that were temporary rather than fixed) • My security deposit was not returned until formal action was taken
