Not Worth It
Pros
The location is good and near a subway. It's NYC so you can't really expect quiet at all times realistically, but the street was overall chill and safe. The backyard is technically spacious and is shared with a building that has a fire pit.
Cons
The color scheme is atrocious. It's clear they haven't repainted in years and the paint they used was hideous. Overall the appearance is shoddy and ruins the potential of the building, it's clear that the building lacks love. The laundry machine in the basement didn't dry clothes effectively, so you'd have to spend more money than necessary. The hallway would get very wet when it rained.. Lots of package thefts, security measures were meh. Took ages to do simple repairs, also there were rats in the walls at one point that required an exterminator. It took forever to get the security deposit back, the communication between the tenants and landlord is abysmal.
Advice to the owners
Pick better paints, learn color theory, repaint the building, answer tenant requests promptly, actually take care of the tenants and building. Return security deposits back in a timely manner. Or get a different job.
