Bad Experience in this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great layout and closet space.
Cons:
Too much noise on 3rd floor. 3rd floor tenant has 4 kids that use the unit like a playground. Tenant has parties and invites other small kids to play in the unit with their kids. Landlord says they cannot do anything about the noise.
Advice to owner:
Evict tenant on 3rd floor.

Don't Move Here. Seriously, Don't, You'll Regret It
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's spacious, I guess.
Cons:
Where to begin? The building has a history of roaches and mice. We had a bad roach infestation caused by the endless building construction next door (which, as you can imagine, is terrible to endure, especially if you work from home). The first time they tried to "treat" the infestation, they sent two random maintenance workers (not an exterminator) who had no idea why they were even there. They attempted to clear a nest in the bathroom fan using OUR can of Raid and garbage bags. A shoddy job that, to no surprise, resolved nothing. We had to insist for months before they sent an exterminator to resolve the issue. One of the passes left a gaping hole in our ceiling, which caused more roaches to spill out and didn't get covered up for a couple of days.
Additionally, our upstairs neighbors are squatters who are loud at all hours of the day. They bang against our walls and yell in the halls, just no consideration for anyone else in the building. One of them smokes cigarettes in her bathroom, and everyone in the building can smell it because the walls might as well be made of paper mache. We also have caught her drunkenly peeing on the mailboxes; she is just the absolute scourge of the building.
Whenever we complain, management responds with the same email, saying they're working on getting them out. I know it's difficult to evict in NYC, but it's been years of this, and you think if management had even the slightest trace of something resembling a soul, they would offer the other rent-paying tenants some reprieve, but they haven't. Instead, they've hiked up the rent.
Ladore Management is garbage. They are shady, parasitic lifeforms, and I hope their downfall is swift and just. Don't rent from these crooks.
Advice to owner:
Do better.

Building switched management, only had them for three month
Former Tenant
Pros:
Newly renovated nice apartment, roommate only saw a cockroach once
Cons:
only wanted checks, kept security deposit for three months
Some major bug issues, mainly water bugs and ants. Exterminator came but the issue was never fully resolved before I left. Black floors show ALL the dirt. Definitely overpriced for the neighborhood
