Live anywhere else in Flatbush
Pros
Unit is livable. Electricity and Internet (verizon fios) is stable. We have some friendly neighbors and most everyone are sane and kind folk.
Cons
Horrible response ti me from management. if you need maintainence you have to wait upwards of three weeks and they will just show up at some point if at all. The only time I've gotten actual communication from managment is when threatening to call 311. The super is great, he's just stretched too thin. Building is dirty and smells bed in places despite looking new. "Updated features" like electric door locks to units fail or door alarms for building entry blare. Two washing machines and three dryers for 20+ units. One washing machine has broken in our year plus living here and one dryer has never worked. Maintainence requests have been put in by others and nothing done. Some tenants keep unsanitary living conditions, various smells and filth, which managment has done nothing about. Walls and doors are cheap. You can hear anything anyone says in the hallway and vice versa. If you're a little loud, the tenant across from you can hear it. Walls, celings and floors have marks and chips on them and managment doesnt paint or refurbish them. Furniture on rooftop area is in disrepair. Overall, if you have a problem you're better off figuring out the answer yourself and planning where you'll live next.
Advice to the owners
Sell your property to someone with half a brain and pick a different line of work.
