Review Summary for 844 Flatbush Avenue
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenants unanimously advise against renting at 844 Flatbush Avenue due to severe issues. Tenants faced safety hazards like faulty wiring, lack of smoke detectors, and doors left open. Despite some positive mentions like friendly neighbors, the consensus is overwhelmingly negative, warning others to steer clear. Advise to the management stresses the importance of tenant welfare over profits. Rent stabilization isn't deemed enough to justify the building's numerous maintenance and safety shortcomings.

Beware & Look Elsewhere
Former Tenant
Pros:
My neighbors are cool.
Space was small, but functional.
Cons:
Light fixtures are messed up and never fixed.
There is an ongoing leak in my apartment and I can’t use the bathroom anymore.
There was a rat in the lobby.
Package theft is guaranteed.
Management isn’t going to be helpful.
People leave the doors open.
I didn’t have a carbon monoxide or smoke detector when we moved in.

DO NOT RENT IN THIS BUILDING
Former Tenant
Pros:
Barely anything to say
Cons:
Major infestation with roaches and rats. I saw a few roaches when touring but was told they just fumigated so thats why they were there. Turns out they never even inspected the unit after the last tenant moved out. The day I moved in I found roaches EVERYWHERE. I found a dead rat. I was absolutely disgusted and management did not care until I demanded I be released from the lease. I had every right to be released as ownership violated multiple city codes and rented the unit under false pretenses.
Advice to owner:
Give a shit about your tenants and dont be such horrible callous human beings that only care about money
