Do not move in
Pros
Nice pre-war details and kind neighbors. It’s also affordable and rent stabilized.
Cons
Everything else. EVERYTHING. The elevator breaks constantly, and there are many people who have mobility issues. The lobby, stair wells, elevator, and hallways are never cleaned and it smells. The pest issue, especially roaches, is unmanageable. I keep my apartment so clean and I still see one at least once a week. I even went as far as buying my own pest control supplies and it helped for a bit but it’s a building-wide issue. They need to do a major extermination. Repairs are nearly impossible to get done—you make appointments through management and then they never show up. I’ve stayed home several times from work only to have them never show up.
Advice to the owners
Please make this a livable building for tenants who deserve basic access to clean, sanitary, accessible living spaces.
THIS BUILDING IS THE WORST
Pros
The only thing I like about this building is my own apartment and that's only because I was able to make it into my own.
Cons
EVERYTHING and I'm not even being dramatic. First, the elevator breaks down every week and they haven't fixed it. There are many people in the building that are older and have canes and are forced to take the stairs. Next, there are roaches EVERYWHERE!!! It's disgusting and no matter how clean you keep your apartment, they still come. The supers are CREEPY!! Can't even have them help because they stare creepily and abuse having your personal cell number. Also, people don't respect the trash room so its disgusting.
Advice to the owners
At least fix things around so when you enter the building, it feels like you're coming home
