Its good but really not the best
Pros
* A lot of sunlight and very nice views from apartments on 8th floor * Most work days no one is in the gym or shared areas so you can have them to yourself * In between two train stations (2& 5 and Q&B). That made a HUGE difference when for most of last year the Q&B lines weren't running due to construction
Cons
* During the summer there are very big, fast, and scary looking centipedes. As soon as June starts they suddenly appear. Last year they didn't go away even after getting the exterminator to spray every month. This year they, thankfully, went away after the first few weeks of June. I’m on the top floor so it was CRAZY that I was still getting them. The exterminator said they must be in the walls * Also you can hear everything from the street. A lot of ambulances and commercial trucks travel Linden Blvd at night (especially during the summer!!) You will have to adjust to that. * FULLY READ THE LEASE, DOCUMENT ALL CONVERSATIONS WITH MANAGEMENT , AND STAY ON TOP OF CREDIT SCORE. There were multiple times where management tried to refuse me the free rental months we are previously agreed to. I had to show them copies of priors emails and the contract riders to finally get it. Also they sent a report the credit card bureau saying I payed rent 30 days late even though they had NO records of this and couldn’t not answer ANY clarifying questions about when this late payment occurred. After repeating sending emails about this mysterious late payment, they finally agreed to take back their report. Their report made my credit score temporarily drop by 150 points and would have been a major issue if I had not been aware of it * Your mail will not be secure. All packages are just dropped on the floor in the lobby where anyone can steal them. Later on they are moved to mail room. But even that room isn’t secure. Earlier this year, 2026, someone was stealing our packages from the mailroom for at least 2 months. Management changed the door codes multiple times but our stuff was still getting stolen . Management had very poor communication when changing the door codes too. * the font door entry code system freezes or refused to take my entry code a couple times. There were 3 times where I was locked out of the building and could not enter until it was fixed or another tennet happened to come by. This included one time very late at night when there was no way to get immediate help *
Advice to the owners
Management should invested in mail lockers where each unit has their own slot for packages. In order to access the packages you much enter a code unique to your units. Also do something about the cons I mentioned!
