Horrible Hovel and Hellish Landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lovely, safe area with the best neighbors, shops and cafes around the corner, good school, park up the road.
Cons:
Unsafe! Basement flooded -- due to bad plumbing job from a previous tenant. Renters at the time lost 10K in goods, stored files, etc, in basement and spent 3 wks of summer vacation cleaning up basement with NO rent rebate, just blame from the cheap landlords. Basement still leaks. House freezing in winter; only single glass-panes. Drafty. Bills are VERY HIGH. Fireplaces do not work. Old Ikea stove, discontinued, never works. Old plumbing makes water run orange with rust. The renters were often sick as a result.
Advice to owner:
Housing inspectors should be called in, cheap owners made to do repairs and rebates.
