Review Summary for 379 East 26 Street
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 379 East 26th Street in Brooklyn highlight the building's charming old architecture and convenient location. However, the primary drawback is the problematic landlord who is intrusive, unresponsive, and fails to address pest issues adequately. Tenants express disappointment with the landlord's constant harassment and lack of respect for privacy, urging prospective renters to consider other options. Despite the building's positive aspects, the negative experiences with the landlord significantly impact the overall living experience, leading many to caution against choosing this building.

Unbearable landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is super old and beautiful— if you don’t mind some rooms smaller than others, you’ll love it. The neighborhood is great and close to everything you could need.
Cons:
The landlord is just terrible! She put video cameras ALL over the building and was always monitoring us. She regularly harassed tenants for no reason and was constantly bothering us even though we were quiet tenants who always paid on time. There were also roaches all the time, and while she agreed to get exterminators (as a landlord already should), we mostly had to take care of it ourselves. Given the stress that came just from her and the already somewhat high price, I’d try looking for another building.
Advice to owner:
There’s literally no reason to treat your tenants the way you do, especially when they pay rent on time.

Beautiful building, god awful landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Just a gorgeous building! Great space in a great neighborhood.
Cons:
The landlord is just the worst— always harassing and bothering tenants for no reason, even if we paid rent on time and in full every single month. Honestly I’d steer clear from this place just because of that. There were also some
issues with roaches and mice the landlord did close to nothing to help with.
Advice to owner:
Stop harassing your tenants!
