Too Many Roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Ocean parkway is a nice spot, walkable to Prospect Park, neighbors are sweet people, the apartments optimize space pretty well (lots of closet space), and the water pressure is excellent.
Cons:
None of those pros matter, because there are roaches *everywhere* once the spring/summer hits. You can apparently sign up for a monthly exterminator on a sheet I could not find when told it allegedly existed, but voluntary unit-by-unit treatment once a month does exactly f*ck all to abate their reproduction. Also the elevators are horrifying (ugly, loud, and they jump a disturbing amount when hitting each floor) but that really pales in comparison to the infestation issue.
Advice to owner:
Burn it down and start again.
