Bad management and so many bugs

Pros:
Good space and layout, laundry in building
Cons:
So many flies as they put the garbage in the center courtyard. Can’t open windows or else flies will come in. Bed bugs, roaches, poor maintenance of the building.
Advice to owner:
Have the exterminator come in more often. Move the garbage away from the courtyard.

Fly-by-night management leads to bugs and trash

Pros:
This building is full of kind people and is in a SUPERB location. Lobby and front garden area are nice.
Cons:
The management company only employs a part-time super, so he maintains a full-time job IN ADDITION TO having to maintain 30+ units. As a result the garbage is out of control, there are German roaches and ants, and rats in the alley. The hot water also goes out for hours at a time. Management also claims you have to opt in to the exterminator but many residents have not seen them or gotten a knock when they claim he comes.
Advice to owner:
Pony up the cash for a full time super. It's not fair to pay him with just discounted rent.
