Find Something Else if You Can
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively quiet at all times and super warm and cozy during the winter months
They don't actually care if you have a cat or a dog so long as you clean up after them. Several other tenants have cats and dogs
Cons:
DIRTY
ROACH INFESTED (THEY'RE IN THE WALLS AND I'M NOT EXAGGERATING)
Owner refuses to take responsibility for any issues in the building and only comes by when the DoB is doing an inspection
Expensive for the space. Barely a 1BD and you're paying nearly $1,700/month
The bathroom ceiling will leak at least twice a year and it'll take management at least a month to fix it.
The toilet also breaks down every few months.
Advice to owner:
LISTEN TO YOUR TENANTS INSTEAD OF REQUESTING RENT TO BE SENT BY THE 7TH OF THE MONTH AND THEN WAITING UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH TO CASH CHECKS

Not too bad, not too great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors.
Cons:
The landlord is very unresponsive, rent is overpriced, super attendants not so responsive either. Building is very old and needs consistent maintenance to upkeep cleanliness.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive to your tenants. Look after your tenants and stop overcharging for small apartments. There needs to be more cleaning and renovations done on the building to prevent rodents.
