Project building or Apartment Building ?
Former Tenant
Pros:
Near Triangle Junction, Close to Transportation
Cons:
This building wasn’t all that bad when I first moved in, but after a while it’s started to resemble just like a project building. The hallways stink BAD, the lobby smells like marijuana every other day, I avoid walking down the stairwell because of the strong urine stench, and there’s always trash in the elevators. Also anyone can get in because the side doors of the building don’t lock.
Advice to owner:
Fix the locks, and start cleaning the building more and get rid of the smells

CROOKS & THIEVES!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super and his workers try to help as much as they can but it is only so much they can do with the little resources they have.
Cons:
I’ve been living at 3111 Aurelia for the past several years. The management before the current one was actually decent. This new management is RUBBISH!! They’ve increased the price on everything while the building deteriorates. The elevator it out of service every other day. The cameras don’t work. The stairwells smells like pee and no cameras in these areas.
Advice to owner:
Stop being greedy!

New Management is No Better
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location and space within the apartment.
Cons:
Serious roach and mouse problem... older apartments will not be fixed. Landlord unresponsive. Super no longer lives in the building. Noise next door due to construction
Advice to owner:
Make the building better

if you must
Former Tenant
Pros:
Price and space/square footage. If you go to Brooklyn college then it's well located but...
Cons:
front door and 1st floor entrance to stairwell(which opened on the public street) were often broken. Packages we're often “lost”. Laundry room was always filthy and kinda creepy to get to.
Advice to owner:
better security and pest control

Great at first but could not handle pests
Former Tenant
Pros:
I liked the location, size of the studio, and I had friendly neighbors. Rent stabilized
Cons:
My bathroom ceiling leaked the whole time I lived there and it was never fully fixed. The building has a very serious roach problem. I would see a few a day. I also saw dead bugs in the lint trap of the shared laundry.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the pests and renovate.

Building from hell
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building in a great location
Cons:
Elevator is always broken
Heat is always off
Mangement doesn’t care
Stairwells always dirty
Advice to owner:
You need a better management team
