The neighbors are fantastic, and the location is all I could ever ask for any building. The building itself is beautiful, and the apartments are fairly well laid out.
Cons:
The building is absolutely infested with cockroaches and mice, and the management company has no intention of fixing that problem. The mice eat all the food in the pantry, and they get into the furniture. It’s getting to the point where it is probably a health hazard.
Advice to owner:
Get an exterminator who is willing to get their hands dirty and get rid of the cockroach and mouse infestation.

Pros:
the landlord never comes by so this mean he also doesn't bother us! this building is sturdy, has lots of exposed brick, and is in an excellent location. the neighbors are lovely and the apartments have great layouts.
Cons:
the landlord does not seem to care if this building crumbles to the ground. he never, ever comes by to check on things and takes forever to respond to concerns. the common spaces are filthy. there is one staircase and it is rickety and breaking down in places. what happens if there is a fire? we have no idea because there is no fire escape and no second way out. there are tons of rats outside in the garbage area. the laundry machines broke for months and it turned out it was just because they didn't come and empty the quarters out!
Advice to owner:
come see about your building before it crumbles? seems like you'd want to know whether it's all okay out here? also build a fire escape please!
