Good location, not great building

Pros:
Amazing location to train, bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc. everything you need. There's a backyard area that's cute and furnished.
Cons:
Owner refuses to fix the intercom system which has been broken for years which has led to packages getting stolen. The staircase interior of the building looks like it has not been cleaned ever. There was a roach and mouse problem as well. We also went without heat for over 2 weeks and we were told by the owner it was fixed over those 2 weeks which is was not. Building overall is not well maintained.

Small space, awful landlord

Pros:
There's a really nice courtyard, and all of the neighbors are super awesome.
Cons:
The apartment was too small and he's charging too much. Hot water was very fleeting
Advice to owner:
Be decent to your tenants, and don't use them as a personal bank

Landlord will refuse leases after a year and raise rent arbitrarily

Pros:
Good courtyard and good location
Cons:
Cockroach problem, leaking ceilings that landlord won’t fix, in unit dryer will make the entire unit humid, winery across the street has garbage that gets picked up anywhere between 11pm and 5am every night, the land lord will raise rent whenever he wants and will make you pay more if you want a lease.
Advice to owner:
Manage you’re property properly
