Decent apartment but expensive and a lot of issues
Pros
The neighborhood and location is great, very quiet and still pretty accessible to most of Williamsburg, Bushwick and Manhattan. The appliances are new and work great. Washer/Dryer is great to have. Decent amount of common space.
Cons
The price for this apartment is very high given all the issues I've experienced, there have been multiple issues with water leaking in from rain and snow storms as well as plumbing in the building. The basement has flooded a couple times and management has been slow or even unresponsive to fix damages and the root causes, There have been enough issues that there is probably mold growing in the drywall. There is a rodent and bug issue, in the basement you can hear multiple rats in the ceiling and drywall and it's clear they are getting in somehow from the street. I've warned management and they sent me a pest control number that came once to address bugs that didn't really work and just flat out missed an appointment to deal with the rodent issue. The walls are incredibly thin you can hear pretty much everything that is happening in the building, I can clearly hear everything the neighbors are saying when I'm in the bedroom. The layout is very small/awkward in the bedrooms, you can barely fit a queen in either room and the bathrooms are incredibly cramped. Very limited natural light in the two rear apartments. Overall this apartment is livable but there are so many issues that it just doesn't feel like it justifies the high rent.
Advice to the owners
If management was more responsive and actually fixed the root problems that impact this it might be more worthwhile for the price but currently it feels very expensive and rundown.
