A wonderful place to live, mostly

Pros:
I have lived at 597 for 4 years, I absolutely loved it for the first three. Neighbors are amazing and the units themselves are awesome
Cons:
In the last year most residents have had problems with roaches (a building issue) and management has not done enough to solve it. I am moving because I refuse to renew my lease at an increased rent for conditions that are worse than they originally were
Advice to owner:
Get rid of roaches and get better management

Great Place and Community

Pros:
Great place, spacious, near lots of great spots (Prospect Park, Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, bars, restaurants, Franklin Ave, etc), near trains. Plug your drains at night and you won’t have roaches. Was a great home.
Cons:
If you work from home know that this area has lots of noisy air traffic. Particularly helicopters fly directly over the building at low altitudes (300ft) sometimes all day every 15 minutes. This made the place too expensive for me in all honesty.
