A good building (with some caveats)
Former Tenant
Pros:
Generally pet friendly but also depends on your unit owner
2 Large shared courtyards (no dogs allowed on grass tho)
Laundry just across the street in the other Cobble Hill Towers building
Thick walls
Building office is staffed M-F
Solid garbage + recycling, also composting
Cons:
Traffic noise from Hicks St and the BQE is very loud if you rent on the Hicks side
Frequent heating issues in the Fall/Winter
Recurrent issues with neighbor's water backing up into my kitchen sink and bathtub
Undergoing construction on the facade
Workers always seem to be gutting one apartment or another (and I should note some of this construction caused and exacerbated water and heating issues above)
Annoying all-day water shut-offs
Horrible outside intercom
Advice to owner:
Deal with heat and plumbing
Improve intercom
