It’s a 100 year old factory, it has a lot of quirks
Pros
Apartments are massive. Old hardwood floors, big windows & tall ceilings. Stuff you don’t see often. Neighbors are great. Location is excellent provided you drive or bike. Across the street from a nice park. Pretty much a DIY building. Lots of people build lofts & other built-ins. It’s an open canvas if you’re handy.
Cons
Sloppy conversion job. Yearly gas issues every time the heat needs to come on (once it shut off for almost 2 months and they had to set up temporary showers in the courtyard). Garbage rooms are a mess & rodents plague the 1st floor. 4th floor gets insanely hot in the summer. You’ll need a window AC unit and the high ceilings mean the apartment is ludicrously expensive to heat & cool. Super is very nice but won’t do much to help unless it’s an emergency.
Advice to the owners
Stop bringing in that idiot duo of plumbers, they clearly don’t know what they’re doing
Artistic Flair, Great family environment
Pros
Across the street from the park, has an amazing roof and courtyard for bike and motorbike storage, great sense of community
Cons
The windows are old and difficult to open and close in my unit.
