nearby night club unbearable
Former Tenant
Pros:
clean modern building central location individual heat/ac units in room
Cons:
every weekend the latin night club Carneval aha insanely loud music enough to make the whole building shake restaurants apollo and famous pizza attract a really rough crowd with people getting drunk and fighting in the streets, drivers getting take out will blast music late at night while waiting for their food packages get stolen all the time even if only left for a few hours
Advice to owner:
fix the package problem (maybe change the door code), work with local police to manage the noise at Carneval

Management is terrible
Former Tenant
Pros:
New and modern building pretty close to L and G trains.
Cons:
Management is extremely unresponsive to issues and made misrepresentations as to what would be provided at this building. It’s very common to have to follow up multiple times to get a response, and many times no response is ever given at all. Maintenance requests are often canceled without actually being resolved. The rooftop is not furnished despite being advertised as so, and it likely never will be (so don’t fall for being told otherwise). Laundry machine only takes cash and the payment machine frequently breaks which makes doing laundry impossible for sometimes over a week (management does not care). Have had packages stolen from inside before and management did not seem to care or change the front door code to address the obvious security issue. Edit: Owners tried to keep our security deposit and only returned it when we threatened to sue. They kept claiming that our 3 checks sent to 3 locations were “lost in the mail”. Took nearly a month to get the checks (beyond the legal limit). Absolutely do not live here if you can help it.
Advice to owner:
Be responsive and stop trying to take advantage of people

Building owner is not responsiveness and leaves issues totally unaddressed
Former Tenant
Pros:
Brand new. Nice fixtures. Close to L and G. Nice Williamsburg neighborhood. Each room has its own ac/heat unit. Good lighting. Places have balconies. Online Portal for rent.
Cons:
Owner moved us in before the building was live in ready, and it was obvious. Place was disgusting when we moved in despite it being brand new. The keys to the place werent even ready when we moved in. Getting a response from the owner can be impossible. There is a maintenance portal that no one checks. Building is advertised with on site super (FALSE!!) and furnished rooftop (FALSE!!). 3 laundry machines for entire building and often, all 3 are not working (only ONE works right now!). Door lock stops working from time to time and leaves building open to public. We also STILL do not have access to our mailboxes because of “issues with the post office” that have lasted for 7 months and counting. A light in our place had not worked the entire time and no one has come to fix it despite multiple requests for them to do so. It could be a really nice place, but the owners suck and don’t care about being responsive or fixing the things they need to. Also when you research the building owners, you see they have a very shady history of owning residential building in terms of how they treat residents. For the price, I very highly recommend you look elsewhere! I wish I did. Edit: I have since moved out and have had to badger multiple people for my security deposit back and no one will respond. We did no damage to our place. I’d hate to go to small claims court since they’re past the legal deadline to return it, but I will if I have to. Also, we ended up having a pest infestation and it took over 6 weeks and dozens of messages for them to send anybody.
