Awful place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subway and grocery store.
Cons:
I have lived in 64 Pulaski for two years, and would not recommend this place at all for the following reasons:
1 - Landlord will not return your deposit under any circumstances, he will find a loop hole to demand money from you- has happened to everyone i know that’s lived in this building.
2 - There is no doorbell or a place for mail, making it impossible to receive packages and have your items stolen from you.
3 - This is the BIGGEST reason not to live here - Police have discovered that there are people breaking into the building living ILLEGALLY on the third floor. Building manager noticed that the door keeps unlocking when he locks it and never raised the concern until the police got involved.
4 - No heat, you will freeze in the winter.
5 - There is one washer and dryer in the basement for the whole building to share, however one of the apartments in the building is entirely responsible for the electrical bill for that laundry room that EVERYONE uses, making the electric bill insanely high.
Look somewhere else.
Advice to owner:
Maintain the building better. When tenants leave the apartment and demand their deposit back, please provide support of how you calculated the water bills (including records of the invoices and any late fees that you incurred). Inform your tenants when their lease is about to expire. Install a security camera due to the suspicious activity occurring in the building, this is a safety concern. Install doorbells, please provide mail boxes for parcels.
