Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews of 205 N 9 St, Brooklyn, praise its prime Williamsburg location, spacious layouts, and well-maintained building with friendly doormen and a standout rooftop. Amenities like the gym and sound-wired units are appreciated. The cleanliness and pest control are consistently rated highly. However, several renters express frustration with inefficient, noisy HVAC systems, costly electricity, and unreliable laundry facilities. Some raise concerns over management responsiveness, citing slow repairs, problematic management behavior, and elevator outages. Noise from thin floors and party-prone tenants is noted. Despite these issues, many still recommend the building for its community feel and quality finishes.

Amazing location & layouts... but with some frustrating problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Incredible location near L train (~2 blocks) - Some great amenities (gym in building, rooftop) - Great layouts (in a very spacious 1 bedroom) - Quiet (at least on courtyard facing units)
Cons:
- In-building laundry is never functioning and has added a huge stress to day-to-day life (half of machines are out of order usually, and the ones that are "working" barely dry clothing) - Climate control is unbearable and exorbitantly expensive since the units are so inefficient. In-wall HVACs are noisy and barely cool / warm the apartment. Bills for a 1-bed can be up to $350 a month. - One of the elevators has been broken / offline for over 1.5 years, causing delays trying to get downstairs if you're on a higher floor.

We’ll run building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice amenities, generally well run, unbearable location, relatively responsive for fixes.
Cons:
1 of the 3 elevators has been out for 6 months. Since new ownership attention to detail is down a little bit.
