• Great location near transit and downtown Brooklyn
• Staff is great
• Some units are spacious with nice finishes
• 24-hour door person and package handling
• Pet-friendly building. Many dogs!
Cons:
• Chronic elevator outages — multiple breakdowns, reduced service on a weekly basis
• Only two elevators for nearly 30 floors with long waits, frequent overcrowding
• Management (Dermot) is unresponsive to tenant concerns
• 311 complaints go unresolved
• Accessibility nightmare for seniors, disabled residents, and families
• No transparency around repair timelines or long-term plans
• High rents with zero accountability
Advice to owner:
This building needs a full elevator modernization plan — and you need to treat tenants with the respect we deserve. Communicate honestly, share a real timeline, and provide compensation for the daily disruptions and unsafe conditions. People are paying luxury prices to live here, but the lived experience is anything but. Fix this — before someone gets seriously hurt.
