Unless you love mold, roaches, and sewage water don't live here
Pros
There's a dishwasher
Cons
Oh have I been waiting to write this review. Let's just start with when we first moved in our unit was still under construction. They refused to acknowledge us until we told them we wouldn't be paying rent for every day the unit wasn't ready. We then dealt with mold growing downstairs on the wood work. The plumbing water became dirty and left either brown stains everywhere or started growing bacteria in our toilets, sinks, and shower. Someone tried to break into our apartment downstairs. After that the roaches came along and completely infested the entire place. We're talking every room in the apartment had them. And the kicker? Because there's a toilet downstairs there's a sewage pump. That pump ended up failing and flooding sewage water all over the floor/basement hallway. Management took almost a week to clean it up which left us having to throw away all of the furniture that was down there. They refused to acknowledge that it was a building issue and did not help us at all. FYI, there's now more mold growing down there because of how long they left the water sitting for. Other fun facts: Everyone dumps their trash in front of the building and it is disgusting. There's also someone in the building that plays their music so loudly that it shakes the whole place. Other buildings are complaining because of how bad it is. The laundry machine barely works properly. Our break in was not the first time someone had broken into the building. There were a couple incidents prior that had occurred which management knew about but still didn't do anything. They also asked for a 22% increase in rent at the end of the year to re-sign. You can find a much better spot than this place.
Advice to the owners
This isn't the line of work for you
Worst management company in 8 years
Pros
Literally nothing except the terrace attached to the unit.
Cons
Refused to let us move in on time. Violent, noisy neighbors and roach infestation they refused to address. Refused to let me out of the lease due to these issues and a change in my employment. Did not tell me until the day of my move out that they wanted me out the morning of and had to argue with them to give me the whole day. They then attempted to keep my security deposit illegally. They also have a stipulation in their leases that tenants waive our right to take them to housing court over any lease violations, but they can still take us to court.
Advice to the owners
Actually do your job, or even just pick up your phone. Being a landlord is about more than just collecting rent, you need to upkeep the apartment and building and respond to your tenants' needs and complaints. You made it clear you only cared about the money.
