Just don’t rent here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent appliances, laundry, and gym.
Cons:
This building is worse than when I lived in a college dorm. The building is poorly maintained by management, and they lease to rude tenants that behave outrageously and create problems throughout the building. One tenant even illegally gave their keys to an unknown party after they vacated their apartment, which resulted an extremely unsafe and chaotic party situation (including live music until 3 am and my getting sexually harassed while entering and exiting the building) that lasted an entire weekend. I then had to send a letter from my attorney to get them to change the front door code, after easily 100 people came through the building for this squatter party weekend. Not to mention the tenant-on-tenant theft that was caught on camera but there was “nothing they could do”. Constant piles of trash in front of the building, street # that’s impossible to see from the street or sidewalk making deliveries a nightmare, horrifically sealed windows and doors, paper thin walls, a disgusting and constantly scuffed/chipped hallway. Bonus points for the stolen electric CitiBike that has been sitting in direct view of my bedroom window in the car park for the entirety of my lease. The list goes on. I’ve been in rent stabilized buildings and I’ve been in subleases with little to no rights. This is the worst and most chaotic living situation I’ve experienced in New York City. To Lazerpoint Management, shame on your business. Do not live here if you want ANY value for your dollar, safety, security, peace of mind, or just plain old peace.
Advice to owner:
Get some common decency
