Not worth the cost
Pros
Close to McCarren Park and nice location between Greenpoint and Williamsburg. Lots of light and big balcony.
Cons
Roach infestation problem.. we’ve had to keep our sinks plugged at all times to prevent roaches from coming in. Management is not super responsive and sometimes dismissive of requests. Our AC units smell. There were 3 days during a heat wave where we had no electricity or AC. We stopped using laundry in building because we found maggots and roaches living in the washing machines. All amenities cost extra and are small.
don’t be fooled
Pros
spacious, large balconies, was brand new when I moved in, pet friendly, good location
Cons
everything else. management is terrible. AC units broke twice in a brand new building and when I reached out I was told I must’ve done something wrong, spoken to extremely rudely. he tried to trouble shoot on the phone and literally told me to switch a flip with a giant red tag saying “do not touch”. electric bill ridiculous $500 in summer and winter as people who were extremely conservative with it. cockroaches (extremely clean apartment unit) but the garbage rooms are often so filled that you cannot even put another bag down the trash chute. laundry is $12 per load ($6/wash and $6 for dry) for extremely small units. key fobs were faulty within months of moving in and the app only works half the time. the apartment is extremely echoey- for example if someone watches tv you can hear everything loud and clear from hallway. does not help when you have neighbors who constantly scream at one another all through morning and night. was concerned for my safety due to the violent and vulgar nature of these screaming matches that sometimes carried into the hallways. reported it to management and he said “if you’re so worried call the police.” upon moving out the checklist and expectations are EXTREME. basically cannot look like a soul has stepped foot inside.
