Cheap but not great; landlord did not return deposit for 4 months
Pros
Cheap. Apartment was decent sized, good location. Bathroom is reasonably updated.
Cons
Poor sound insulation, especially with the illegal basement apartment (I was in 1R so directly above the basement). Occasional roaches. Landlord only collected rent in person (no drop box or digital collection). Landlord also did not return my security deposit for several months despite repeated calls/texts. He only did so after I threatened to sue him, and then he verbally abused me while handing me back the deposit.
Advice to the owners
Sell your property to someone who follows fair housing and tenant laws
