Unprofessional - big mistake
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment had a good layout. Easy roof access.
Cons:
No heat in the winter at the top floors because the bottom floors get too hot before the heat can travel up the pipes. Apartment sat in the 50s all winter. The bottom tenant was given access to turn off the heat so it was kept off with no compromise. Landlord response was to use electric heaters (not provided) and no compensation for electricity bill. Landlord not returning security deposit after agreeing the apartment was left in BETTER condition than move in. Prep for a quick small claims filing if you live here.
Advice to owner:
Fix the heating situation. No one should be left with a 90 degree apartment at the bottom and a 50 degree apartment at the top. Be professional, it is illegal to take MORE than a months rent as deposit and it is illegal to not give it back without a receipt.
