Simple apartment with no frills but responsive super
Pros
Close to N/W and R. Rent is a little cheap and all inclusive. The super is generally responsive to repairs needed. Walls are very thick.
Cons
It's an old building and it feels old. It's maintained well enough but it could use some updated painting and replacement of the hinges and fixtures. Occasional cockroaches in the apartment. Landlord registered the building as 3 units but it's actually 5. I think it's worth less than what I paid but I was moving to NYC so it was a good starter
Advice to the owners
You could spruce up the units for cheap by painting etc. and lower rent because the way you're renting the units is not allowed in housing laws (you can't rent individual bedrooms) so make the cost lower for the tenants so no one reports you
