Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews paint a picture of a building with a desirable location and appealing aesthetics, including good natural light and nice neighbors in some cases. However, the management consistently receives severe criticism for unresponsiveness, disrespectful behavior, and failure to address critical issues like heating and maintenance. Persistent noise disturbances, occasional pest problems, and unresolved repair requests further diminish the living experience. Tenants note the building's potential but emphasize that poor management severely impacts quality of life, urging improvements in tenant care and communication. Overall, the feedback advises prospective renters to be cautious given these ongoing problems despite the building’s favorable aspects.

Awful Management, Freezing Cold
Former Tenant
Pros:
Natural light, lovely street
Cons:
Horrible management. Rude, disrespectful from day 1, refused to resolve heating issues. Below 60 all winter. Loud screaming neighbor.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your tenants. They pay you.

Awful landlords, such a pity - stay away
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice location, good views - such a shame because Astoria is a great neighborhood and the building is on a nice street.
Cons:
Horrible management, they either don't know what's going on or will gaslight and demean you if anything needs to be fixed. Incredibly disrespectful. If they send people to fix something, they do not know what is going on, how to address the issue, or communicate. Occasional cockroaches. Very noisy neighbors.
Advice to owner:
Do your job and take care of your property and tenants that pay you in full, every month.
